ABOUT CLARITAS

Cookie Policy

Our Commitment

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy explains how the entretienclaritas.ca website uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage. It supplements our Privacy Policy, in particular its section 7.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file saved in your browser when you visit a website. Local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) play a similar role: they keep small pieces of information in your browser. In this policy, the word “cookies” covers all of these technologies.

2. Your consent first

  • On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all, refuse all or choose category by category.
  • Before you choose, and if you refuse, only strictly necessary cookies are used. Google’s statistics and marketing tools are not loaded.
  • Optional categories are turned off by default. Simply browsing the website does not count as consent.
  • Your choices are kept for 365 days. After that, the banner is shown to you again.
  • The banner and the record of your choices are managed by the Complianz plugin, installed on our website. A record of your choices (categories accepted, date and policy version) is kept on our website to show that we respected them.

3. Cookie categories

a) Strictly necessary (always active)

These cookies are needed for the website to work and to handle your requests. They are not used for advertising.

Name Purpose Duration
pll_language Remembers the language you chose (French or English) 1 year
Cookies whose names start with cmplz_ Remember your cookie choices and the banner version you saw 365 days
cmplz_user_data (session storage) Banner display settings Until the tab is closed
cq_bk_sent (local storage) Prevents the same price request from being sent twice by mistake 10 minutes
cq_ft_s (session storage) Attaches the campaign parameters in the page address (for example utm_source) to your request, without any ad click identifier Until the tab is closed

b) Statistics (only with your consent)

  • Google Analytics 4 (ID G-HE5KRCMRFL) measures website traffic: pages viewed, device, browser and source of the visit.
  • The events we send do not contain your name, email, phone number or address.
  • The names and durations of Google Analytics cookies are determined by Google and may change. To learn more: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

c) Marketing (only with your consent)

  • Google Ads (ID AW-18252129968) measures how well our ads perform, for example whether a price request follows an ad.
  • Google Ads call tracking: when you reach the website after clicking one of our ads, a Google forwarding number may be shown instead of our number. It tells us that a call came from an ad. The call is forwarded to us as usual.
  • cq_ft (local storage, 90 days): remembers the source of your first visit, including a Google ad click identifier, so it can be attached to your price request. It is deleted as soon as you withdraw your marketing consent.
  • The names and durations of Google Ads cookies are determined by Google and may change. To learn more: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

d) Preferences

The banner shows a “Preferences” category. We do not currently link any tool to it.

Note: Google Analytics and Google Ads use the same Google tag. If you accept statistics only, this tag is loaded, but advertising permissions (ad storage and ad personalization) remain refused.

4. Other technical services

To display its pages, the website also relies on WordPress.com (hosting, fonts and technical page-performance measurement) and Cloudflare (cdnjs, animation libraries). As with any website, your IP address and browser type are sent to them. We do not use them for advertising or to build a profile of you. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

5. Changing or withdrawing your consent

  • Click the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. The banner opens again.
  • Choose “Refuse all”, or click “Choose”, untick the categories you want, then click “Save preferences”.
  • Withdrawal takes effect immediately: Google’s permissions return to “denied” and cq_ft is deleted. From the next page onward, Google’s tools are no longer loaded.
  • Cookies already saved by these tools may remain in your browser until they expire. You can delete them in your browser settings (section 6).

6. Your browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings:

If you block strictly necessary cookies, some features may not work properly: your language or cookie choices may not be remembered.

7. Transfers outside Quebec

Google may process data collected through statistics and marketing cookies outside Quebec, including in the United States. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes

We may change this policy, for example if we add or remove a tool. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. If a change warrants it, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
