Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Welcome to the Entretien et Services Claritas Inc. website. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. They apply to the use of our services and to any agreement between you and Entretien et Services Claritas Inc.

1. Definitions

Client: the individual or organization that hires Entretien et Services Claritas Inc. for cleaning services.

Residential client: a client who hires our services for personal or family use (for example, cleaning their home).

Commercial client: a business, organization or condominium syndicate that hires our services for its activities.

Service: the residential and commercial cleaning services provided by Entretien et Services Claritas Inc.

Company: Entretien et Services Claritas Inc., its subcontractors and its representatives.

2. Appointments, cancellation and access to the premises

Appointment request: services may be requested through our website, by phone or by email.

Confirmation: an appointment is confirmed only when the client receives a confirmation email or phone call from the Company.

Residential clients

Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment: you may cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance, by phone at 514-442-6544 or by email at info@entretienclaritas.ca, so that we can offer the time slot to another client.

Access to the premises: if our team cannot access the premises at the scheduled time, we will contact you to set a new appointment, at no charge.

Regular service: if you have a regular service (for example weekly or every two weeks), you may cancel a visit or end the service at any time, with no fee or penalty. You only pay for visits already completed.

Amounts paid in advance: any amount paid in advance for a visit that is cancelled or not performed is refunded in full.

Commercial clients

Service contract: the terms for cancelling a visit, access to the premises, notice to end the contract and any applicable fees are those set out in the service contract signed with each commercial client. Service contracts already signed remain governed by their own terms.

If there is no signed contract: the commercial client may cancel or reschedule a visit at no charge by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance. If a visit is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, or if our team cannot access the premises at the scheduled time, the Company may charge the costs actually incurred for that visit (for example, travel and the time of the team already assigned), with an itemized statement. A regular service may be ended with 30 days’ written notice; visits completed before the service ends are payable, and any excess amount paid in advance is refunded.

3. Prices and payment

Price: the price of a confirmed appointment is the one shown in the confirmation. Rates may change for future appointments; the client is informed before confirming a new appointment. For a regular service, any rate change is announced in writing at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the client may then end the service at no charge.

Additional services: any additional service requested by the client is billed at the price communicated to and accepted by the client before it is performed.

Payment methods: payment may be made by credit card, bank transfer or any other payment method accepted by the Company and communicated to the client. Payment is payable at the time of service unless a written agreement provides otherwise.

Late payment: if a payment is not received by the due date, the Company may suspend upcoming visits until the balance is paid.

4. Scope of services

Service details: the Company provides the services described in the appointment confirmation.

Client responsibilities: the client must provide access to the premises at the scheduled time and ensure an adequate supply of running water and electricity. Fragile or valuable items should be secured or removed from the areas where the service will be performed.

5. Satisfaction and complaints

Reporting a problem: if you are not satisfied with the service, we invite you to contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the service, by phone or by email. Reporting quickly lets us check the situation and propose a solution, for example a return visit to correct the work.

Complaints: any complaint may be sent to us by phone, by email or by mail (see “Contact information”). We review it and reply to you.

Your rights: this invitation to let us know quickly does not limit any right or remedy you have under the law.

6. Liability and insurance

Insurance: Commercial general liability insurance coverage of up to $2 million per occurrence.

Undisclosed hazards: the Company is not liable for any loss, damage or injury resulting from the client’s failure to disclose hazards or conditions on the premises that may affect the performance of the services.

Breakage and damage: if an item is broken or damaged by our staff, we invite you to report it as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, so that we can assess the damage. The Company repairs or replaces the item, or compensates you, depending on the circumstances and the applicable law. This invitation to let us know quickly does not limit any right or remedy you have under the law.

7. Ending the service

By the client: a residential client may end the service at any time, with no fee or penalty; they only pay for visits already completed. A commercial client may end the service under its signed contract or, if there is none, with 30 days’ written notice (section 2). In all cases, any amount paid in advance for visits not performed is refunded.

By the Company: the Company may end the service only for a serious reason (for example, a work environment that is unsafe for its staff, or non-payment), and never at an inopportune time. For a residential client who has a regular service with no end date and is not in default, the Company sends written notice at least 60 days before the date the service ends. In all cases, it notifies the client, refunds any amount paid in advance for visits not performed and does what is immediately necessary to prevent a loss to the client.

8. Confidentiality

Client information: the Company keeps client information confidential and does not disclose it without the client’s consent, unless required or permitted by law. For more details, see our privacy policy.

9. Changes to these terms and conditions

Changes: the Company may update these terms and conditions. The version in effect is posted on this page with its update date, and clients are informed of any significant change before it takes effect.

No retroactive effect: no change applies retroactively to appointments or contracts already concluded. Changes apply only to new appointments. (Rate change for a regular service: see section 3.)

10. Governing law

Jurisdiction: these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Quebec, and any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
